Manchester City, their pursuit of Cucurella and the three potential departures
In the arrivals department, there are two cases. There is Leeds United midfielder Kalvin Phillips, as has been widely discussed. Then there is Marc Cucurella.
Brighton’s Spanish full-back is a top-priority signing on City’s wish list, as Guardiola could do with a weapon that he has barely had at the Etihad: a natural left-back.
As things stand, Phillips and Cucurella are the only two arrivals expected at the champions this summer following the already confirmed arrival of Erling Haaland.

Watford interested in Benik Afobe
Stoke City’s Benik Afobe is on a list of strikers that Watford are assessing and may consider making an approach.
The 29-year-old who spent last season on loan at Millwall — scoring 13 goals in 41 appearances — has one year remaining on his contract.
Sources at Watford have confirmed that he is one of a number of strikers that the club are looking at.
Signing at least one forward in the transfer window is a priority, with Aston Villa’s Cameron Archer also confirmed as being of interest.
Head coach Rob Edwards worked with Afobe when he was on the coaching staff at Wolves.
